Why Wouldn’t I Want to Join Kaddey?

First thing’s first
I’ve never been so electrified by a potential role.

Second, I think it’s important you know a bit about me first, so you know I’m not just talking out of my 🫏.

Without further ado…

This is me.

(I guess I look a little wired, but when you’re on set for a full day, the coffee hits pretty good.)

In my 7 years working in the commercial / editorial production industry in Los Angeles, I’ve worn many hats. I’ve been a Producer, a Director, a Production Assistant, a Live Editor for award winning directors on major brand campaigns…

But what I love the most is being a
Photographer & Videographer

I moved to Amsterdam just last month, with two goals in mind:

  1. Get out of my comfort zone

  2. Become the successful creative professional I am meant to be

After I graduated film school, my network afforded me the opportunity to follow the Producer track, which I took with open arms. I spent the last 7 years following that track, learning about every aspect of both massive tentpole brand campaigns, to micro, independent shoots, while building my portfolio on the side.

All the while, I have searched for an opportunity to fall back into the visual role I initially went to film school in search of…

… and this role at Kaddey Golf is THE opportunity that I have been looking for.

Here’s Why:`

First, the Brand: Kaddey Golf’s premium design, polished identity, and high-key visual style is as fun as it is striking. Having the opportunity to not only contribute, but develop such an impressive brand is incredibly satisfying as a videographer and storyteller.

Second, the Timing: This is really an entering-point like no other. This team has clearly worked hard to create a strong visual identity, married intentionally with the product design and functionality. Based on the care with which the job posting has been curated, I can tell that the level of thoughtfulness and personal accountability is extraordinarily high, and that is so exciting to me. It’s very rare that you can enter a brand identity at a time where both the WHY and HOW are clearly developed, but the WHAT is still somewhat fluid. I want to help build that WHAT into something that impacts an audience.

Third, and obviously, the Role: It’s right there in the posting. “The growth path is toward directing your own shoots. If that excites you, this is the moment.” This is me, to the T. I am at a place in my career where I am ready to develop content at a high level, molded by professionals with vision, and forged by my own necessity to deliver on that vision. Because of my extensive knowledge of shoots and of content, I know that in a short time, I will be ready to lead these shoots, and manage other content creators.

When I first got into the commercial (marketing) production world, my goal was to direct them.

So, why do I want this role?

Well, because this is my shot to do exactly that…
